Dear Prospective Students,

First of all, a very warm welcome to Mississippi State University!! Students set their foot in foreign lands with high hopes and aspirations. Being away from home (first time for many!) is an uneasy feeling that is very often difficult to subdue. We, the members of the India Student Association, are here to make you feel at home and relish every moment of your stay at Mississippi State University.

ISA is one of the largest and most active international student body organizations. With a strength of around 160 students and 40 families, this organization has earned a name of repute and importance. We not only cater to the ISA community, but also go one step ahead and serve the city of Starkville. To encourage interaction between the members of Indian community, we get together on many occasions like:

1. Welcome parties for new students: Fall and Spring semester

2. Celebrations: Independence Day, Diwali, Navratri, Republic Day and many more.

3. Movies: Yes!! Hindi movies screened in theaters!

4. Sports: ISA Cricket tournament, Badminton tournament, Table-Tennis tournament, etc...

5. Community Services: Highway clean-ups

6. University Activities: Participation in International Fiesta, etc...

Apart from academics, you will have lots of opportunities to exhibit your talents and expertise in various fields.

Prospective students have lot of unanswered questions in their minds. We have attempted to consolidate most of the information, available in the 'Prospective Students' section. I sincerely request you to go through all the details, so that you have a good idea of the items to bring to suit the lifestyle out here. Also, do join the Yahoogroups to interact with other prospective students. Please be sure to correspond with ISA at the earliest. We arrange for airport pick-ups and housing accomodation. The arrival and housing details can also be found in the 'Prospective Students' section. In order to facilitate us to help you better, please fill out the following forms:

Airport Pick-Up Form: We need to know your complete itenary, so that there will be a representative to receive you.

Housing Information Form: This will help us accomodate you to the best of your needs.
